Hi, my name is Kelly. I'm a mother, daughter, sister, friend, artist, goof ball, just trying to live a happy life and leave a little love in the world before I go.
I grew up in So. California. I was always drawing or painting or creating something when I was a kid. Making art has always brought me peace. I think I would go crazy if I didn't keep creating! I'm officially an empty nester now, so I decided it was time to take my art out into the world! Yikes! I'm very excited to see what my future holds! We'll see!
To check out my portfolio, please go to my website www.kellylish.com.
My art is mainly paintings with acrylics, but sometimes I'll add in... ink, pastels, collage and wax.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog...I hope you enjoyed your visit !
I'm wishing you happiness and peace, right here from my home sweet home in Studio City, CA.
Love, Kelly
Really a lot of interest, it does seem to say have a cup of coffee and enjoy the view of my world, an invitation.
As I look at the work it makes me wonder what made you decide on the log cabin design portion. Isn't tht what life should hold...an unexpected pleasure?
Wonderful. I particulary like the log cabin spot. It looks like a portal to to transport me somewhere else. Which is what that first cup of coffee does. Love it...
Thank you everyone. This has been a really fun painting to work on. My imagination is in heaven when I sit and stare at it and wonder what to do next...I'm not sure if I will make prints or not. Sometimes the big works dont turn out so great in a small print. I will have to experiment and see how they turn out. Emelie, you asked me about the log cabin quilt on my painting...I started off the entire painting with a "quilt" look in mind. I had just bought the new CPS Studios and the pic on the cover inspired me to have this idea. If you have that magazine, take a peek and see if you can see my inspiration. I love quilts, but am really terrible at sewing, measuring, being precise, so my best bet is just to stick to painting them! haha Thanks for the compliments friends-they are very appreciated-Love, Kelly
Wow! This is a big project. It looks Awesome! I enjoyed catching up on all your posts. Love all your work and the depth they have. They look so 3D! Jennifer
