Up at the Gallery...

On Sunday I brought some more of my originals into Imagine Gallery.  They hung them up and I think they looks so cool!  Such a thrill for me to see so much of my work hanging up for the world to see-exciting!  I am thankful...

I was very recently asked these three questions....
1.  What is my blog about?
2.  What inspired you to write or begin a blog?
3.  What do you hope your readers get from your blog?

These were my answers...

What my blog is about:
My blog is pretty much the art work and ramblings of my mind :)  I
love posting the artwork that I'm working on.  I love getting comments
and encouragement from my blog buddies-they are the best!  I love
sharing thoughts and ideas that come through my brain every now and
then.  I love sharing photos of something I find beautiful or
interesting.
I decided to write a blog because I was so inspired by others blogs
that I was reading.  Blogging has a way of keeping me focused and
inspired and aware of all the beauty around me.  I love it in so many
ways.  It has literally changed my life.  I've made so many wonderful
friends with this magical tool.  I have read some of the most
inspirational life stories and admired some of the most beautiful
artwork.  I love that my blog makes me realize small moments of
importance, that I might otherwise just overlook.  It has truely
enriched my life.
What I would hope for readers to get from my blog is just friendship,
honesty, and hopefullness.  I hope they will enjoy my artwork. I hope
they will get to know me and that I also get to know them.  I hope my
blog will bring them a smile once in a while.  Thats what I hope for
my readers.

A little sneek peek....

Here is what I've been working on lately.  This is my idea that I want to present to major gift companies..  This is what came to me in the middle of the night the other night.  This is the passion that has been consuming me the last few days...I can see it in so many mediums...canvas's, flat dolls, soft dolls, ornaments, calenders and journal covers....I can see the whole display in my mind.  This is the first half of my idea...the other half has to do with contacting a publisher and telling them my crazy idea for a book...

Amazing today....

Melody posted a question on BRAVE GIRLS BLOG, asking us how we are going to be amazing today...This is my answer....

How am I going to be amazing today???? Well…I have this passion in my heart right now…it’s a passion for creating something and writing something. I’ve been knowing that the idea would come to me, and it finally has. It’s clear as day and I know what to do, and I feel in my heart it will be successfull…But…of course there’s always that But….I hate that But…doubt keeps trying to sneak in-I’ve been seeing it out of the corner of my eye and it’s little, but it’s still there. So I keep brushing it away and telling myself to listen to my heart. That’s the amazing thing I’m doing today…I’m brushing away that sneaky, little doubt, and I’m going forward with my project. I’m listening to my heart anyway. And I’m creating with passion and love and enthusiasm. I’m believing in my HEART!

Floating....

Today I am floating on a cloud.  My mind feels like it could burst with creativity.  I had an idea wake me in the middle of the night and it won't let go of me.  I know a little bit of my future...I can actually see it right now.  I know that sounds a little strange, but sometimes you just "know".  This "knowing" doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it's the best feeling in the world.  It has happened to me before, and has proved to be the truth.  It sort of gives me goose bumps in a wonderful way.  I would so appreciate any prayers or thoughts to help me focus and make this idea of mine become a reality.  I believe that it will, but any good mojo will help me to be efficient and focused, not two of my best traits-hahaha.  So thank you for any well wishes you can spare to send my way.  I will keep you updated, I promise!   Love, Kelly

Something special...

Yesterday I was out at a local Holiday Bazaar called The Carriage House.  It is full of beautiful things to buy and treats to eat, but the most wonderful things there are these beautiful handmade fairies by Coleen Sohn.  They are just incredible, with so much love and detail put into each one.  So of course I just had to get a couple of her pieces...it was so hard to pick!  I finally chose this little guy with his necklace full of seeds of love...and this velvet heart went just perfect with him.  I will treasure these forever.

Weekend in Eugene...

Ron and I had a fun weekend in Eugene.  Saw Jacob for a bit on Saturday-I gave him a quick haircut, then we took him to breakfast on Sunday.  Ron and I stopped by the gallery (Imagine Gallery), where some of my work is hanging.  She had it all up on one of the main walls and it looked so cool all together.  I just get so excited to see it there-I feel like a kid!  I hope that feeling never fades away.  It just fills me with such hope and inspiration to make more and grow, grow, grow!
