Guess what?

Guess what???????  Someday I'm going to be famous!  I know how that sounds, to be tooting my own horn in such an obnoxious way, but I just know its true-hahahaha
My artwork and me will be famous one day!   :)

QUESTION FOR BLOGGERS....

What do you all think is the best way to respond to comments?  I've been emailing people after a comment, but then it doesn't show up on the post.  Do you think its better to respond right on the post, so everyone can see?  I like that idea best, but then I'm not sure if the person who left the comment will ever recieve my response...What do you guys do?

A breakthrough....

I think I made a breakthrough with my art today!  I started using some different materials and combining others and I think something clicked!  You remember when you were in school, and you just didn't get something, and then one day it all just clicked?  Well, I had one of those feelings today and it felt really good!  I want to keep evolving and not get stale, but sometimes it takes a while for your mind to let you switch things up a bit-ya know?  I don't want to always stay in my comfort zone, but you almost have to tell yourself "ok, self...it's time to stir the pot and try something new today!"
Remember, its okay to be uncomfortable and leave that realiable, safe place once in a while-if it doesn't work out, then at least you tried, but....maybe it will work out and add something incredible!

I hope it never feels like work...

Been so busy trying to get things ready for this art show-I know I'm way "over" ready by now, but it will help me relax to know I have everything I need.  It's been really fun actually-I can't wait to show you all the pics.  The show isn't until August 6th and 7th.  I put up my canopy in the back yard today.  I figured out how to hang my walls (lattice) and tomorrow I will hang a couple pieces of art just to figure out the best way.  I'm having such fun with this...I hope it never feels like work.

A secret...

Wanna know a little secret?.............
Sometimes when I'm drawing a face that I want to look particularly vulnerable,  I draw it with my left hand.   Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh....thats my little secret-but I can't do it too often cuz I don't want my left hand to get good at drawing :)
