This life is so very temporary and fragile. We need to remember to live it to its fullest and cherish those we love, every day. I pray for all those suffering from the Japan earthquake and tsunami. It's so strange to me to think that as I sit here in my warm home, safe and surrounded by love, that someone elses world has come to an end. God bless those suffering souls. My heart goes out to them.

Very true, I think that generally we get so comfortable in our own world that we forget others are suffering through no fault of their own. It really makes you cherish what you have when there is an unfortunate disaster elsewhere in the world.
ReplyDeleteSo very true Kelly !! My husband passed away in my arms 8 months ago today. The last year of his life we lived by the title of a country song...Live like you were dyin'!! That is another reason I,at 53, have been taking all these art classes. I don't want to pass away with another regret!! Japan's crisis is very humbling for sure !! Hugs.. Kristy and Angel

Thank you for these very insightful remarks! I just found out the other day that a close friend from high school, a Japanese woman who had spent a year in the US through the AFS exchange program, is OK after the earthquake. The quake has taught me how unpredictable life can be...and that keeping in touch with loved ones is something we shouldn't take for granted, even when our lives our extremely busy and chaotic.
