It just can't be easy....

It just can't be easy being married to me...  Here's a sample of a conversation between my husband and I this morning:

Him- "Kel, do you separate the colors from the whites?"
Me- "yea, sometimes..."
Him- "Kel, you need to separate the whites...mine are getting all dingy.  Come on Kel, thats what people do, they separate the colors from the whites!"
Me- "alright alright...(sigh)
Him- "pretty soon you'll be putting the dishes in with the laundry, just to get it done faster!"
Me- "I don't want to be a grown up!"

Thank God he is patient with me :)

  1. "Come on Kel, that's what people do..." Hahaha!

I get lectured at least once a week that it's important to zip zippers and velcro the velcro on all items before they get washed. Really???

  8. I definitely separate... and bleach my dish cloths and towels...and run my washer on the highest heat for some of the things that can take it...I hate dingy too. I'm with your hubby. He sounds pretty sweet... maybe surprise him with a nice white wash this week....

funny story. When we were kids my Mom didn't do much housework.. well, not much cooking, laundry or much at all really. She couldn't... she was always too tired and often sick... We know now that she was totally depressed...but, didn't know it then...anyway... we kids used to try to do our best. We cleaned, cooked and did laundry by the time I was 11...and I was the oldest. My little sister did Dad's t-shirts one day. Tossed in somebody's red underwear with them... and voila...dear ol' Dad had pink t-shirts and undershorts. He insisted on pristine white for his underwear because he wore his t-shirts under his uber-white barber coat...and was ready to be ticked 'til he realized what had happened...and it was the littlest of us who did it... so... for a change.. he just laughed. Whew...

  9. Kelly, this is the first time I have been to your site. I wanted to save myself and go to Eugene 1st! It is beautiful, you are my sunshine is my oldest son's favorite childhood song beside a spoon full of sugar! We sang them many times a day. Now on to your laundry, the next time you go to the grocery store buy some inexpensive DISH WASHER SOAP (USED FOR THE DISHWASHER) and Shout Color Catchers sheets and after you whiten his white clothes again in hot water with the dishwasher soap then you can throw allthe colors in together with a color catcher sheet and the sheet catches all the other colors. You can use one color sheet up to 5-7 times depending on how dingy it begins to look you will also throw the same sheet with all the colors in the dryer as well and he will think you are a miracle wife! dishwasher soap is really good for bleaching white clothes.
