Hi, my name is Kelly. I'm a mother, daughter, sister, friend, artist, goof ball, just trying to live a happy life and leave a little love in the world before I go.
I grew up in So. California. I was always drawing or painting or creating something when I was a kid. Making art has always brought me peace. I think I would go crazy if I didn't keep creating! I'm officially an empty nester now, so I decided it was time to take my art out into the world! Yikes! I'm very excited to see what my future holds! We'll see!
To check out my portfolio, please go to my website www.kellylish.com.
My art is mainly paintings with acrylics, but sometimes I'll add in... ink, pastels, collage and wax.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog...I hope you enjoyed your visit !
I'm wishing you happiness and peace, right here from my home sweet home in Studio City, CA.
Love, Kelly

Set back...
I'm trying really hard right now to believe in possibilities, but I seem to keep getting discouraged or disappointed. I'm not giving up, just feeling set back a bit.
I think there's something "in the air". I'm having a day where I wish I could turn back the clock or at least I'm looking forward to this one being done!! Everything I've put my mind to do today has turned out otherwise; or things I've wanted to get to I just didn't...it's been like a conspiracy! lol!! And I find that when a day begins like that it's probably going to stay like that so I just heave a big sigh and keep on moving...hope tomorrow is a better one -- for both of us ♥
Mama said we'd have days like these... I say let's kick em' to the curb! LOL Just wanted to say hello, and thank you for a lovely blog. You are following your heart for art. The discouragement will only last for a wee moment. Your paint brush will whisk the blues away~
Kelly, don't give up! I just saw Dr. Wayne Dyer on tv and this subject was brought up and he said to change the thought before your head hits that pillow at night. Tell yourself it will workout, all is positive, I won't give up, I will succeed, etc. Do not go to bed with any negativity. Hope you don't mind this. He was promoting his new book Excuses Begone.
I know that feeling! I have to reprogram my thinking.
