This was my very first post, and I wasn't quite sure what I was even doing...
Well, this is my very 1st blog. The date is January 31, 2009. My name is Kelly. I'm 43 years young :) Love really is my religion. I think that word covers all that is important in this life.
I'm excited to see what blogging brings to my life...we'll see...
Now I'm on Post # 78...Six months later...I think I'm getting the hang of this blogging thing :) I've also figured out what blogging has brought to my life: You know that feeling you get when you have an explosion of ideas that all fit together, and you just know that you've got something good brewing up for your next creation? When suddenly there is just not enough time in the day to fit in everything creative that you want to get done-your mind won't really concentrate on anything but this great, fantastic, wonderful, magical idea that is just bursting from your seams?...Well that's how I've been feeling all the time now that I created my own blog!
Not only am I more in tune with my own creativity, but I am constantly tapping into the creative energy of all these wonderful artists that I am "meeting" through the blog world.
I am a Mother of two teenagers. One who is now 18 and about to move away to college. The other is almost 17 and will be a junior in high school. I've been dealing lately with some of the "empty nest blues". If being a Mother isn't enough to feel a bit down now and then, then being an "artsy" type personality certainly ensures those little bouts of depression. But I do see light. A light so bright through blogging with other artists. I feel like it just instantly lifts me up and gets me back on track and into my creative zone, where I am most happiest. I know there will still be moments when I long for my growing kids to be little again, but I fear loneliness no more. I'm not even dreading winter! Bring on the Light!!!
I've thought about submitting to that magazine. I've never had the guts to do it.
